The Knot: Yours Truly

“Our idea of a perfect wedding is one where guests walk away declaring, ‘Wow, that was so them!’ Yes, we want the food to be fabulous. Yes, we want the guests to have fun. But most of all, we want your wedding to be an experience that truly reflects your unique parternship, a party that only you could throw. Don’t get overwhelmed – we’re here to help.” – The Knot Editors

Wedding season will be upon us soon enough, and it is always fun to see the unique styles of couples during their ceremony and reception. The Knot: Yours Truly is a great visual guide to all sorts of inspiring ideas, tips, and DIY ideas that is sure to make any wedding day special.

The book features real couples and the unique ways that they personalized their special day. With hundreds of photos, suggestions, and amazing takeaway tips, this book is a great guide for anyone who has begun the planning stages of their wedding. The weddings featured run the gamut from glam to modern, and from romantic to rustic. The design ideas fit all budgets and are sure to bring all sorts of creative touches to the big day. Plus, there are over a dozen crafts such as Wed Libs, a Petal Bar, a Fresh Greenery Backdrop, and Photo Booth Props that are simple to do.

A few things to know about this book, though, are that it can be tough to know how to do exactly what is depicted in the book as the featured weddings don’t really have clear instructions – they are, rather, a collection of suggestions (ala Pinterest). The crafts are brilliant, but might not all be as easy to do as the book would suggest. Overall, though, the book is fabulous and a wonderful source of inspiration.
