When I first heard that a dear friend had gotten a spiralizer, I didn’t understand what all of the fuss was about. Honestly, it reminded me of some of the more obscure KitchenAid mixer attachments. I didn’t see how it would fit into my repertoire. I did a bit of digging and found that Ali Maffucci seems to be the expert on creating delicious meals with the spiralizer. Thus, it was with great excitement that I discovered that Ali has a new cookbook: Inspiralize Everything: An Apples to Zucchini Encyclopedia of Spiralizing. The title may seem a bit ambitious, but it is completely spot on.

The recipes are diverse and include options for all times of day and for all dietary needs, but focus on making meals simple, healthy, and delicious with the use of a spiralizer. Options like Spicy Cabbage and Carrot Detox Soup, Fried Green Tomatoes with Avodao Ranch Kohlrabi, Chai-Spiced Pear Oatmeal, and Chorizo Sweet Potato Buns prove that spiralizing is not just about veggie “noodles.” Cabbage Buddha Bowl, Vietnamese Cold Jicama Noodle Salad, and Roasted Carrot Noodles are riffs on the original spiralized favorites, but Ali Maffucci takes spiralizing to the next level. This book features beautiful pictures and literally is an encyclopedia of fruits and veggies that can be spiralized making it extra easy to make dinner extra delicious!
