Slimming Meals that Heal

“For your health and your weight, the best foods to eat are whole foods. One of the biggest advantages of eating whole, unprocessed foods is that you get the harmony of all their nutrients together, the way nature intended. These critical nutrients keep your immune system strong and protect you from disease – single vitamins and minerals in supplement form are isolated and do not have the same beneficial effect.” – Julie Daniluk, R.H.N.

Scientific evidence increasingly links what we eat with how we feel, but few resources make this information as accessible as Slimming Meals that Heal by Julie Daniluk. With insight and solid research on inflammation, dieting, food healing, and more, this is the perfect guide to revitalizing your body, your food habits, and your lifestyle.

Daniluk is honest with her own food experiences and serves as a natural guide for anyone interested in eliminating food-related inflammation, hormonal imbalance, ADHD, sleep problems, weight gain, and more. She walks readers through the perfect pantry, an elimination diet, revitalizing your diet, and (my favorite part) a collection of delicious healing recipes with beautiful photographs. From Blueberry Vinaigrette and Festive Pomegranate Tabouli to Healing Salad in a Jar and Hempy Purple Coleslaw, there are a lot of delicious options. Locavore Fennel-Apple Salad, Slimming Spring Roll-Ups, Warm White Beans with Summer Vegetables, and Stewed Maple Beans with Dandelion, there are plenty of entree options. Desserts like Spiced Harvest Applesauce, Fruit Fondue with Coconut Caramel Sauce, and Banana Bread Bars round out the recipes, ensuring that you get some sweets that are healthy. Slimming Meals that Heal is a valuable guide to reforming your health and slimming down in the healthiest of ways.
